Note #039: Kingston Flemings (Royal Ascent)

Houston guard Kingston Flemings has entered the 2026 NBA Draft (along with his freshman counterpart Chris Cenac Jr.) following his lone season with the Cougars.

Flemings took flight in 2025-26, posting these per game numbers (in 37 GP, 31.7 MP/G):

• 16.2 PPG
• 5.2 APG
• 4.1 RPG
• 1.5 SPG

Since 1947-48, there have been eight NCAA Division I men's players (including Flemings) to average at least 16 PPG, 5 APG, 4 RPG, 1.5 RPG in their freshman season. The other seven:

Of the seven above, six were top nine picks in their respective NBA Drafts. Only Ainge (31st overall in 1981) was not.

Furthermore, five of those six were top three (!) picks. Smith Jr. was not (9th overall in 2017).

We welcomed Wall in Note #008 on Miami (FL) transfer Acaden Lewis.

Billups was included in Note #003 on potential 2026 NBA Draft lottery pick Keaton Wagler.

Smith Jr. was also in the Lewis Note, and Russell the Wagler Note.

Ainge appeared in Lewis and Note #010 on Kentucky transfer Alex Wilkins.
