Note #046: Quadir Copeland (Leader of the Pack)

Former Syracuse (two seasons), McNeese State (one), and North Carolina State (one) guard Quadir Copeland has declared for the 2026 NBA Draft.

In 2025-26 with the Wolfpack, the 6'6" Copeland registered the following per game and shooting numbers (34 GP, 28.9 MP/G):

  • 13.9 PPG
  • 3.6 RPG
  • 6.5 APG
  • 1.8 SPG
  • 155/314 FG/FGA (49.4 FG%)
  • 141/182 FT/FTA (77.5 FT%)

Since 1980-81, there have only been three NCAA Division I men's players, besides Copeland, to average at least 13.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 6.5 APG, 1.5 SPG while shooting 49.0+ FG% (min. 310 FGA) and 77.5+ FT% (min. 180 FTA) in a single season:

1. Negele Knight (1989-90) - 22.8 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 6.8 APG, 1.7 SPG, 234/465 FG/FGA (50.3%), 192/240 FT/FTA (80.0%)
2. Ja Morant (2018-19) - 24.5 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 10.0 APG (!), 1.8 SPG, 265/531 FG/FGA (49.9%), 221/272 FT/FTA (81.3%)
3. Scott Skiles (1985-86) - 27.4 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 6.5 APG, 1.7 SPG, 331/598 FG/FGA (55.4%), 188/209 FTA (90.0 FT%)

Knight
and Skiles were seniors in their respective seasons above. Morant was a sophomore in his.

Now, let's remove FTs entirely and break down FGs into 2s and 3s: Copeland was 132/256 2P/2PA (51.6%) and 23/58 3P/3PA (39.7%) in 2025-26.

Since 1980-81, only five players (again including Copeland) have averaged 13.5+ PPG, 6.5+ APG, 3.5+ RPG, 1.5+ SPG while shooting 51.5+ 2P% (min. 255 2PA) and 39.5+ 3P% (min. 55 3PA) in a single season. The other four:

1. Jonah Radebaugh (2019-20) - 16.5 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 6.5 APG, 1.5 SPG, 143/277 2P/2PA (51.6%), 51/115 3P/3PA (44.3%)
2. Doug Overton (1989-90) - 17.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 6.6 APG, 2.7 SPG, 147/263 2P/2PA (55.9%), 54/124 3P/3PA (43.5%)
3. Kenny Anderson (1989-90) - 20.6 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 8.1 APG, 2.3 SPG, 235/432 2P/2PA (54.4%), 48/117 3P/3PA (41.0%)
4. Terrell Lowery (1990-91) - 28.5 PPG!, 4.5 RPG, 9.1 APG, 2.5 SPG, 195/364 2P/2PA (53.6%), 103/257 3P/3PA (40.1%)

If we strip 2P and 3P shooting completely, there were three players besides Copeland to average 13.5+ PPG, 6.5+ APG, 3.5+ RPG, 1.5+ SPG in 2025-26:

1. Braden Smith - 14.3 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 8.8 APG, 1.7 SPG
2. Joel Foxwell - 15.6 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 6.5 APG, 1.5 SPG
3. Christian Anderson - 18.5 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 7.4 APG, 1.5 SPG

Smith was a senior, and Foxwell a freshman. Anderson was a sophomore.

Okay, Copeland's pure shotmaking: only two players in 2025-26 besides him met the 2P/3P/FT baselines established above:

1. Labaron Philon - 162/282 2P/2PA (57.4%), 81/203 3P/3PA (39.9%), 158/198 FT/FTA (79.8%)
2. Nick Martinelli - 223/418 2P/2PA (53.3%), 45/108 3P/3PA (41.7%), 178/220 FT/FTA (80.9%)

Philon
was a sophomore, Martinelli a senior. Both, like Copeland, are 2026 NBA Draft entrants.

Lowery isn't laying low: Note #028 (Christian Anderson) / Note #045 (Otega Oweh).

Foxwell is found in Note #008 on Villanova/Miami guard Acaden Lewis, plus Note #041 on potential 2026 first round pick Meleek Thomas.

This is Philon's fourth mention:
Note #021 (Robert Wright III) / Note #025 (Elijah Crawford) / Note #026 (Nolan Minessale)

Martinelli has also mustered a few:

Note #039 (Kingston Flemings) / Note #045 (Otega Oweh)
